One of the first schools to be taken over by The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri was established in the year 1963. Spread in a sprawling area of 15 acres, the vidyalaya has three separate blocks for Primary, Secondary, and Senior Secondary with a football court, a volleyball court, an athletic track and two large playgrounds. A new block has been constructed for Primary children during the recent academic year and is going to be occupied very shortly. A fund of 99 Lacs has also been sanctioned and released for a Multipurpose Hall the construction of which is likely to begin soon. The school has classes I to XII affiliated to CBSE with 5 sections each in classes up to X and four section each in classes XI & XII. The Vidyalaya offers Science, Commerce & Humanities streams at +2 levels. With about 2278 students and 90 Regular staff members, the school has the distinction of being the biggest and oldest school in Hyderabad Region. In addition to regular staff members we have coaches for games & sports, craft teachers, computer instructors and spoken English teachers on our staff. There are separate labs for Physics, Chemistry & Biology and a Junior Science lab. There are currently three computer labs in operation and two more computer labs are coming up in the new block to be occupied soon.
